Dark Passages: The Cask of Amontillado & The Yellow Sign Cast

Rose Blume (Thomas)
Rose Blume is a recent graduate of Western Illinois University’s Musical Theater Program. She’s absolutely stoked to be a part of this virtual theater event (thank you Kyle and Anne!). Rose has always thought of Corn Stock as her “home base”; she’s been in several tent and lab productions. Her most recent CST production was one of her all-time favorites: Fun Home, directed by Deric Kimler. Rose is so grateful and excited to be back at it again in a theater that is so close to her heart! Let’s get spooooky!
Alexandra Buchko (Tessie)
Alexandra is thrilled to be returning to the Corn Stock stage! She is no stranger to the Peoria theatre community, particularly Corn Stock, having been seen in several Tent and Lab shows; some of her favorite roles include Jean MacLaren in Brigadoon, Margaret More in A Man For All Seasons, and Jenny in The Shape of Things. She also performs with A Royal Remembrance, bringing beloved animated characters to life. She was most recently seen living her dream role at the Lab in February as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. A 2017 graduate of Bradley University, Alex will begin working towards a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Baylor University in January. A huge thank you to her awesome castmates, and to Kyle for the opportunity to be back doing what she loves in her favorite theatre in town!
Ethan Johnson (Mr. Scott)
I am Ethan Johnson, a young aspiring actor who has a deep love for the theatrical arts. I have graduated with a degree in the performing arts from Illinois State University and have appeared in many shows in the Peoria area including Corn Stock shows, such as, Romeo and Juliet as Benvolio and the Robber Bridegroom as Little Harp. I am excited to be a part of Dark Passages and to help bring some striking entertainment to you all. Thank you to all involved and to my family and friends for their encouragement and support through my journey of performance and entertainment.
Rachel McCrea (Fortunata)
You may have seen Rachel on the Corn Stock stage previously in Romeo and Juliet, and Out of Sight, Out of Murder. During quarantine Rachel has spent her time reading, baking bread, and watching a LOT of YouTube videos, so when she got the opportunity to be a part of Dark Passages she jumped at the chance. “The Cask of Amontillado” is one of her favorite stories and to be able to bring it to life is a dream come true. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Anne Resler (Montresor/Sylvia)
Anne Resler is so excited to be back doing theater. Most recently she would have been seen at Corn Stock in the Robber Bridegroom and Romeo & Juliet. Anne has never been a lead before and is grateful her first is as Montressor in the Cask of Amontillado, her second favorite Edgar Allan Poe short story. She would like to thank her friends and family for their love and support, the cast for going on this ride with her, and Kyle for this opportunity. Her favorite colour is green.
