THE VALLEY HOUR with Annalyse & Ryan PERFORMERS

ANNALYSE & RYAN (Host)
Annalyse & Ryan are an Americana duo who live in Beacon, NY. Their music has taken them throughout the US and across continents.
BRUCE MOLSKY (Fiddler)
Grammy-nominated, described “an absolute master” (No Depression), Bruce’s take on tradition has landed him collaborating with some world’s most highly respected players from roots to rock. He’s a special guest on legend rocker Mark Knopfler’s recent CD, “Tracker.” His 1865 Songs of Hope & Home with Anonymous 4, was Billboard’s top 10 for weeks, his third record with Andy Irvine & Donal Lunny’s supergroup Mozaik was released this year. You can see Bruce on BBC TV Transatlantic Sessions Videos with Aly Bain and Jerry Douglas, and on “David Holt’s State of Music” airing nationally. His trio, Molsky’s Mountain Drifters, includes banjo virtuoso Allison de Groot and genre-defying Stash Wyslouch on guitar. Their self-titled CD released to great acclaim and their most recent release “Closing the Gap” topped the Folk-DJ charts last April. Berklee College of Music made Bruce their Visiting Scholar in the American Roots Music Program, their go-to guy for the next generation of roots musicians.
THE WHISPERING TREE (Musical Duo)
Called “one of the most talented duos to take stage in NYC” by Deli Magazine, The Whispering Tree are singer/songwriter Eleanor Kleiner and multi-instrumentalist Elie Brangbour. Together, they craft richly immersive folk-rock brimming with evocative lyrics and a panoramic musicality. Invisible Forces, the fourth recording by the fiercely independent twosome, debuted at #1 on the International Folk DJ charts, with four songs in the top 20. The album was self-produced, fan-funded and recorded at Elie and Eleanor’s home studio in Beacon, NY and at Old Soul Studio in Catskill, NY and explores a deeply personal and political landscape, with themes of hope, despair and social consciousness. Since its 2007 inception, The Whispering Tree has issued two albums and two EPs, and toured nationally and internationally. The duo has also earned prime critical acclaim from the BBC and Keyboard Magazine, among others.
